About Mighty Men Conferences
The Mighty Men Conferences (MMC) are a powerful movement that started in 2003 under the leadership and vision of Angus Buchan. These gatherings, held across the globe, are designed to call men back to their biblical role as leaders, protectors, and loving husbands and fathers.
The inspiration for MMC came during a time of rest in a game reserve when Angus felt the Lord speak to him with a clear mandate: “I want you to mentor young men.” Since then, these conferences have become a global phenomenon, equipping men with the spiritual tools and biblical principles they need to build stronger families, communities, and societies.
At the heart of the MMC message are key scriptures:
- “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” – Genesis 2:24
- “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her.” – Ephesians 5:25
These verses remind men of their God-given responsibility to love, lead, and cherish their wives and families. In today’s world, where the absence of strong father figures has left a void, MMC serves as a beacon, helping men rediscover their identity in Christ and their purpose in the home and beyond.
Why Mighty Men is for Men Only
Some may wonder why these conferences focus solely on men. Angus explains it beautifully: “It is for your sake, madam. We want to teach men how to love, honor, and care for you and your children, just as Christ loved the church.”
